Coronation Street star Cait Fitton shares 'exciting' move for character after arrest as she teams up with soap favourite
Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has teased an 'exciting' move for her character after she gets arrested in upcoming scenes. The actress recently returned to the ITV soap as Lauren Bolton back in June after a previous short stint on the cobbles which started in November last year.
She started out as Max Turner's love interest as he was groomed by her dad's gang, led by racist eco-warrior Griff Reynolds. The far-right extremist and his cronies terrorised Alya Nazir and councillor Maria Connor amid her plans for a refugee centre.
Things finally came to a head when the gang planted a bomb in the middle of the street before Griff was finally caught. But not before they inspired another attack by teenage Blake who stabbed Alya as she jumped in to save Maria. But following her dad's imprisonment Lauren has since returned to Weatherfield where she has gained the support of Max.

And next week, Lauren makes a wrong move as she battles Sabrina Adetiba for Max's affections. In the upcoming scenes, Lauren gets between Max and Sabrina once more as she attempts to wind Sabrina up by making out that she and Max are an item. Max assures Sabrina that’s not the case but Sabrina is left unsettled.
Then, in a fit of rage, Lauren leaves her friendship with Max in pieces by trashing the salon, ultimately leading to the police arresting her on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
