Coronation Street fans work out who Institute boss Willow really is as star teases 'new targets'
Coronation Street fans think they have 'worked out' who the Institute boss really is - and they don't think it's all as it seems. As viewers of the ITV soap know, Institute mentor Rowan Cunliffe first arrived on screens earlier this year when he was holding sessions at the Chariot Square hotel.
He was first seen when Leanne accompanied Simon Barlow to one of his seminars and she was quickly taken aback when the group mentor approached her and offered her some unsolicited advice as she dealt with Simon's drink-driving and her partner Nick Tilsley's reaction.
But since then, things have escalated and Rowan encouraged her to share her innermost thoughts and feelings. She has since become fully invested in Rowan - and the Institute - and has seen playing over the odds for supplements, retreats and even backing her new friend and mentor over her family, particularly Nick and her sister Toyah Battersby.

During Wednesday night's trip to the cobbles, viewers saw Leanne return home after spending the night away from Nick after he issued an ultimatum, saying she must choose between her family and the Institute.
Leanne was quickly questioned over the nature of her relationship with Rowan but she insisted she would never be unfaithful to Nick, making him feel more guilty for kissing Toyah, with the pair later agreeing that their kiss was a mistake.
