Despite the charges, police say they are continuing their investigation and are appealing for anyone with any information, or who may have seen some suspicious actions or items in the area, to come forward. This includes anyone who may have possession of CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage.

Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton said: “While we have secured a charge, we are continuing to appeal for information. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed anything yesterday to please get in touch with us.

“You can do so by contacting us on 101 or via gmp.police.uk, quoting log 528 of 21/06/24. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
