Controversial goal leads to Rovers defeat by Molde
Shamrock Rovers' aspirations of reaching the knock-out phase of the Europa Conference League are all but over as Stephen Bradley’s side were beaten 2-0 by Molde at Tallaght Stadium.
Despite dominating the opening exchanges, an offside goal in the 33rd minute by David Fofana put the visitors in control of the game following an entertaining opening half.
And while Rovers looked to get back in the game in the second half, they were ultimately undone by another headed effort in the 69th minute as Kristian Eriksen helped home a set-piece from close range.
Rovers remain bottom of Group F, six points off second place with two games remaining in this stage of the competition.
