West Ham United are interested in bringing former AFC Bournemouth forward and now-Villarreal talisman, Arnaut Danjuma, to the London Stadium.

That is according to Sport Witness, who have relayed a fresh report from Marca.

The Spanish outlet claims that the Netherlands international is a target for the Hammers, with David Moyes keen to bolster his attacking options next season.

Marca claim that West Ham have made contact with Villarreal and are “asking about” the player, even though Villarreal “still have no firm offers” for the player.

As per the same report, it is claimed that the Hammers have “sounded out the possibility of incorporating the Villarreal winger”, who has “made it clear on more than one occasion that he dreams of returning to a competition like the Premier League.”

It is stated that the Yellow Submarine will not allow Danjuma to go for cheap, with a minimum offer of €40m (£34.5m) enough to open talks.

The former Bournemouth man, who has been dubbed a “weapon” by Broadcaster Kris Temple on Twitter, has had a stellar campaign with Villarreal, notching 20 goal contributions from 34 appearances in what has turned out to be a far cry from the player we saw in the Premier League just two seasons ago who could not conjure a single attacking return in 14 appearances for the Cherries.

Listed as ‘both footed’ by Fotmob, Danjuma is a technical winger who would suit the style of Moyes’ 4-2-3-1 system, with the Villarreal star a potential dream fit in West Ham’s counter-pressing play style due to his pace and consequent direct style of play.
