Conor Phillips to make Munster debut against Zebre as Tadhg Beirne starts

Conor Phillips will make his Munster debut against Zebre Parma on Saturday as Graham Rowntree makes four changes to the side that lost to the Dragons.

Phillips starts on the right wing, forming a back three with Mike Haley and fellow academy player Patrick Campbell, who makes BKT United Rugby Championship bow at Musgrave Park, live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player from 4.30pm (kick-off 5.05pm).

Tadhg Beirne and Keynan Knox are promoted to the starting line-up as Munster bid to snap their losing start to the season.

Ireland duo Conor Murray and Joey Carbery are named on the bench alongside 18-year-old back row Ruadhan Quinn, who if introduced will become the youngest player to feature in a competitive fixture for Munster.

Craig Casey, who was among the five players to sign contract extensions on Friday, continues his half-back partnership with Ben Healy, while Dan Goggin and Malakai Fekitoa are retained in midfield.

Munster have won all of their previous meetings with Zebre, including a 34-17 victory in Parma last January where Jack O'Donoghue, Goggin and Fineen Wycherley were among the tryscorers.

Munster: Mike Haley; Conor Phillips, Malakai Fekitoa, Dan Goggin, Patrick Campbell; Ben Healy, Craig Casey; Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, Keynan Knox; Fineen Wycherley, Tadhg Beirne; Jack O'Donoghue, Peter O’Mahony (capt), Jack O’Sullivan.

Replacements: Scott Buckley, Jeremy Loughman, Stephen Archer, Edwin Edogbo, Ruadhan Quinn, Conor Murray, Joey Carbery, Rory Scannell.
