Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo: Junior tells hilarious story about drunk Notorious

Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo played out a bitter rivalry in the UFC back in 2015, with the pair going toe-to-toe in the Octagon for the UFC featherweight title.

It was the Irishman who took the bragging rights after a huge left hook landed and saw McGregor victorious after just 13 seconds into the fight.

The duo had plenty of bad blood, with a world tour to promote the fight that ended abruptly, with both having plenty to say about each other in the build-up.

When travelling to Ireland, McGregor took Aldo’s belt to the press conference in Dublin, showing it off to his partisan crowd, constantly mocking his Brazilian rival on the night.

The pair did eventually admit to having great respect for each other given their glittering careers in the Octagon, with McGregor calling Aldo ‘a real legend’ after being cut from the roster.

Despite the intense rivalry, Aldo sees the funny side to all that now, and recalled an incredible story from 2015 when the pair were at the height of their feud.

McGregor is not known for keeping quiet, constantly tweeting abuse to people and swiftly deleting them, although plenty of us see them before he backtracks.

When talking about McGregor, Aldo said: “It was funny, because the guy [McGregor] drinks a lot. He drinks a lot. F**k yeah! He probably even likes to drink gasoline.

“Bro, he’d call our private jet completely drunk, just taking s**t. F**k it was funny, he’s a good person because he does understand the other side. He understands the other person. But he’s a guy with a vision.”
