Conor McGregor Says He Is Interested In Buying Chelsea Football Club

Conor McGregor has expressed his interest in purchasing Chelsea Football Club after reports emerged that Roman Abramovich is ready to sell the club after 19 years at the helm.

The former UFC champion, who played for local football clubs Lourdes Celtic and Crumlin United during his childhood, has often expressed his admiration for the beautiful game.

And the ambitious McGregor is keen to "explore" a bid to buy European champions Chelsea. In a post on Twitter, he wrote: "I wish to explore this @ChelseaFC."

Let's be clear. McGregor has lofty ambitions when it comes to his posts on Twitter. Last year, the Irishman hinted at buying Manchester United after a frantic 48 hours resulted in executive vice-chairman Woodward stepping down.

"Hey guys," McGregor tweeted. "I'm thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?"

The social media post instantly gained traction with over 300,000 users liking it and on top of that, around 15,000 people commentated to confess their undying support for the MMA fighter.

"Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly. I and three other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich."

Wyss, who is worth a reported £4.36 billion, confirmed that he won't be buying the club on his own.

"I have to wait four to five days now. Abramovich is currently asking far too much. You know, Chelsea owe him £2 billion," the billionaire added.

"As of today, we don't know the exact selling
