Commonwealth Games: England duo share emotional moment during last netball match
England Netball icons Eboni Usoro-Brown and Stacey Francis-Bayman enjoyed one last hurrah at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Sunday.
The two recently announced their retirement from the game, closing the book on two stellar careers.
In front of a roaring crowd of home fans at Birmingham NEC, the Roses stars were substituted onto the court for England’s bronze medal match against New Zealand.
Unfortunately, the reigning Commonwealth champions were unable to secure a medal this year, but supporters remained in high spirits as they bid farewell to the much-loved Usoro-Brown and Francis-Bayman.
The two England stars paid an emotional tribute to the fans, their loved ones, and the sport they have captivated over the years at the end of the match.
Their teammates presented them with flowers and both England and New Zealand gave them a guard of honour before they left the court.
