Commonwealth Games 2022, Day 9 Live Updates: India are having a brilliant Day 9. The Indian women's cricket team defeated England by fours runs to enter the final. In athletics, Priyanka won a silver medal in 10,000m race walk final while Avinash Sable won silver in men's 3000m steeplechase. Indian boxers Amit Panghal (men's flyweight) and Nitu Ganghas (women's minimum weight) have entered the final. Four other Indians including Nikhat Zareen will feature in semi-finals later in the evening. After the wrestlers grabbed the limelight with three gold medals on Day 8, the Indian contingent can expect more medals on Day 9. Ravi Kumar (men's 57 kg) and Naveen (men's 74kg) are in the final. Vinesh Phogat is also one win away from winning a gold in women's 53kg. Pooja Gehlot (women's 50kg), Pooja Sihag (women's 76 kg) and Deepak Nehra (men's 97kg) will fight from bronze.  

The India men's hockey team will also square off against South Africa later in the day in the semi-finals. In lawn bowls men's fours gold medal match, India will take on Ireland.

In badminton, PV Sindhu has entered the singles semi-finals. Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen will be in action in the evening. Star table tennis players like Achanta Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra will also be in action. In squash too, Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal will be in action.
