Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 4 Live Updates: The Indian lawn Bowls team made history on Monday as it defeated New Zealand in the women's four lawn bowls semi-final to assure themselves of at least a silver medal. Also, Shushila Devi Likmabam defeated Mauritius' Priscilla Morand in women's 48 kg semi-final to also be assured of at least a silver medal. Boxer Amit Panghal has entered the quarter-finals in the flyweight category. In weightlifting, Ajay Singh finished fourth in men's 81kg. After claiming two gold medals on Sunday, India would hope to increase their haul on Day 4 of the CWG 2022. India have so far won six medals (three gold, two silver and one bronze). Two weightlifters shone for India on Sunday. Jeremy Lalrinnunga won a yellow metal for India in the 67kg category before Achinta Sheuli starred in the 73kg category. The duo's success followed after Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu had bagged a gold medal in the 49 kg category, which was India's first top podium finish in the ongoing Games.

Monday will see several top Indian sportspersons in action. In badminton, India will face Singapore in the mixed team semifinal. In table tennis, the Indian men's team will play the semi-final against Nigeria. In squash, Joshana Chinappa and Saurav Ghoshal will be playing their respective quarter-finals. In boxing, Hussam Uddin Mohammed (57 kg) and Ashish Kumar (80 kg) will be in action. After defeating Ghana 11-0, the men's hockey team will again be in action against England in a Pool B Match.
