Commentators left in stitches as batter takes ball to nether regions in hilarious sequence

The rise of European Cricket has allowed supporters all over the world to enjoy some of the more bizarre moments in the sport and a recent T10 clash between Brothers XI Portugal and Indian Royals provided some more viral gold.

During the match, there was a hilarious passage of play which left batter Md Shaikat in agony and the commentators in hysterics. During an over from bowler Aman Manhas, Shaikat swung the ball away into the leg side and looked to take a quick single.

However, the Brothers XI Portugal fielder took his eye off the ball and let it through his legs, allowing the batters to push for three. As they completed the third run, the fielder threw the ball in and it struck Shaikat in the nether regions.

The incident left the commentators in stitches, with one saying: "Oh no, oh no, there's another viral moment. Oh my word." The second then added: "Oh, he's taken it in the gonads. I'm done, that's the best thing I've ever seen in my life."

Shaikat then promptly hit the ball straight up in the air and got caught the next ball. "Well, balls were damaged and the next ball is straight up in the air and that's the first wicket," remarked the commentator.

"Shaikat will have to go off and lick his wounds." And the two commentators were not the only ones left in hysterics by the incident, with legendary Pakistan bowler Wasim Akram and former England captain Michael Vaughan both sharing the video.

"Hahahahahah love these commentators best ever", wrote Akram while Vaughan described the clip as "brilliant". Fans also found the video hilarious, with @The_BrakeDown joking: "Hi I'm Johnny Knoxville, welcome to cricket"
