Commentator Gets Proved Instantly Right By Harry Kane's Terrible Free Kick

Harry Kane is excellent at a great many of football's fundamental skills, but taking free kicks is not one of them, as Guy Mowbray pointed out at the perfect time.

He's so good in fact that one day he may even break Alan Shearer's all time record for goals in the league, and scoring isn't the only thing he's good at, with his passing ability one of the best in the league too.

For some reason though Spurs expect that all this means the 28-year-old will also be good at free kicks, despite the fact in his entire career he only has two goals direct from one.

Expecting the commentators curse to work against him, Mowbray must have expected the ball to fly into the back of the net, instead the forward slipped and the ball tamely rolled into the shins of the players in the wall.

It's not like it's only Mowbray who has noticed that the striker's expertise is away from dead ball situations, with Spurs fans crying out for their hero to be moved aside in those situations.

Obviously that campaign worked out terribly well, with the striker also taking corners, as the Three Lions crashed out in the last 16 to Iceland.

The campaign this year for Spurs is looking increasingly likely to end in similarly brilliant circumstances, with last night's elimination confirming a 14th year without a trophy and now just a battle for the top four to compete in.
