College football betting: How to bet Notre Dame-Miami - ESPN

Last season, Miami beat Notre Dame on a late field goal then edged the Irish for the final at-large playoff spot. Now they meet as AP top-five teams for just the second time, joining the 1988 matchup that Notre Dame won 31-30.

Darian Mensah, Malachi Toney and CJ Carr bring three of the five shortest Heisman odds onto the same field. The Hurricanes have scored at least 30 points in every game with their two Heisman hopefuls, but Notre Dame presents a tougher defensive test.

Can the Hurricanes keep rolling or will the Irish hand them a setback? Here's a betting outlook for the rematch.

Odds by DraftKings and subject to change.

No. 1 Miami at No. 4 Notre Dame -6

Records: Miami 8-0, 0-0 vs. AP Top 25; Notre Dame 7-1, 0-1 vs. AP Top 25

Money line: Miami (+170); Notre Dame (-205)
Over/Under: 57.5 (O-110, U-110)

Notre Dame's defense should make things harder, though: The Irish cover better and tackle more reliably.

I'm more concerned about Miami's rushing offense. Running backs Javian Mallory and Mark Fletcher Jr. have been less productive away from home and now they face a defense that can meet them early and finish the tackle. They're capable of creating yards themselves, but that gets harder against Notre Dame. If the runs aren't helping, then more is put on Mensah (and his arm) to carry the load.

Miami can create a pressure problem for
