Colin Kaepernick: QB's agent fires back at Warren Sapp's workout comments

Colin Kaepernick’s agent has responded to claims from former NFL player Warren Sapp over the player’s recent workout with the Las Vegas Raiders. 

Having not played a snap in the NFL since he was with the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, the year he began protesting against social injustice in America, Colin Kaepernick looked as if he was in the process of coming back into the sport when he took part in a tryout with the Las Vegas Raiders back in May.

The 34-year-old took part in a series of drills with the team as he tries to make his way back into the league after years of failed attempts, as well as a lawsuit against the NFL in which he accused them of working together in order to keep him out of the league.

However, how well that tryout went appears to be causing some issues, and a back and forth has now developed involving former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Warren Sapp. 

Taking to Twitter after the event, NFL reporter Ian Rapaport seemed to hint that Raiders personnel were ‘impressed’ with what he was able to bring to the table on his workout and that a path back to the NFL might have just opened up for him:

Recently though, Sapp has given his take on how well it went and seemed to have intel to suggest that things were a lot worse than what was initially being reported:
