Colby Covington Next Fight: Who Will ‘Chaos’ Potentially Fight Next?

Colby Covington was successful on Saturday 5th March 2022 against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272, but who will Chaos fight next?

Covington called out a prominent name in the UFC’s Lightweight division, but there are a number of names for the controversial fighter to potentially face going forward.

Controversy always follows Covington wherever he goes, and it is likely that his next contest will be another major box office attraction.

Here’s everything that we know right now about Covington’s next opponent inside the octagon for the UFC.

As noted, it is not confirmed who Covington will be fighting next, but he did call out 155-pound fighter Dustin Poirier after defeating Masvidal at UFC 272.

Poirier responded to Covington’s challenge following his main event fight against Masvidal, and Covington would address the tweet at the UFC 272 post-fight press conference.

Covington said: “Let’s do it, bro. He said it’s on sight. Let’s do it. Stop talking reckless in the media. If I talk to the media and say things, I come out here and back it up. I’m a man of my word.

“So we can do it anywhere. We don’t have to do it in the UFC octagon. If he wants to do it in a park, or in a street, my one stipulation is that you let the world watch it and enjoy themselves.”

UFC President Dana White also addressed the situation with Covington at the UFC 272 post-fight press conference.

He said: “I don’t know, that’s a good question. We knew tonight, whoever lost, ‘What would be next?’ and ‘Where would they go?’ And I don’t know, sitting right here, right now, I don’t know. On either one of them, even Colby, who won.
