Coco Gauff races past Jodie Burrage at Eastbourne to reach quarter-finals of Wimbledon warm-up event

Coco Gauff is through to the quarter-finals of the Eastbourne International after a comprehensive 6-1 6-1 win over Britain's Jodie Burrage. Gauff, who is bidding to win her first Grand Slam title at the upcoming Wimbledon, was pleased with her display against the Brit, who reached the Nottingham Open final less than two weeks ago. Ad Next up for the 19-year-old in the last eight is a meeting with good friend and regular doubles partner Jessica Pegula after she beat Camila Osorio 6-2 1-6 6-3.

Gauff then reeled off the next three games to wrap up the first set in just 30 minutes. The second set was equally straightforward for the American who broke in the opening game. A third double fault of the match from Burrage handed Gauff break point and she took it when Burrage hit a backhand at the net wide.
