Coach Dan Hurley, UConn agree to new 6-year, $50M contract - ESPN
UConn men's basketball coach Dan Hurley has agreed to a new six-year, $50 million contract through the 2029-30 season, the school announced Monday.
Hurley has the opportunity to receive performance incentives throughout the course of the contract.
He receives the deal after turning down an offer from the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers to become their head coach. Hurley rejected a six-year, $70 million contract offer from the Lakers, who later hired JJ Redick as coach, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Hurley has led UConn to back-to-back national championships and is 141-58 with the Huskies.
