Christian Pulisic responds to rumours he could leave Chelsea amid Juventus transfer links

Christian Pulisic has batted away rumours linking him with a move away from Chelsea in the summer.

The American winger has featured as only a bit-part player this season under Thomas Tuchel, making only 15 appearances in the Premier League.

But Pulisic – who Juventus are said to be tracking with a view to making a bid – says he is content at Stamford Bridge and doesn’t intend on leaving the club anytime soon.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s first-leg Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid, he said: ‘I’m happy here.

‘We’ve done some great things while I’ve been here. I’m enjoying my football. I’m not worried about that (a transfer) right now.’

Chelsea are preparing to play Madrid at home on Wednesday night and Pulisic will be hoping to make a mark in one of the club’s biggest games of the season.

The 23-year-old has been unable to rediscover his form from two seasons ago when he was a permanent fixture in the Chelsea side under then-manager Frank Lampard.

Since then, a series of different injuries and a lack of rhythm has seen him fighting for a permanent place in the side.

Pulisic, however, doesn’t want to look back anymore and intends to focus on the future of his Chelsea career as he looks to get his game back to where it was.

‘I’m happy with my form,’ he said. ‘I don’t want to compare whether I was better than or now. I’m always trying to be the best player I can be.’

Pulisic, brought in as a replacement for Eden Hazard, signed for Chelsea in January 2019 in a reported £58m deal from Borussia Dortmund.
