The report claims that Kammy has 'seen the writing on the wall,' over the future of the show and his future on it, as Sky continue to try and freshen things up.

At the end of last season the broadcaster decided to get rid of long standing in studio reporters Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas and Phil Thompson.

Kammy, along with Bianca Westwood, has long been the out of studio reporter with the best rapport and banter with the 66-year-old and his departure will surely be seen as a blow to fans.

The former Swindon Town star is best known for the most brilliant blunder in television history, that has grown into a thing of British football legend.

Kamara was at his former club Portsmouth, reporting on their Premier League game with Blackburn Rovers in 2010, when the studio cut to him for a big moment.

Stelling asked his mate about there being a sending off, but Kammy had no idea answering Jeff's 'there's been a red card but for who Chris Kamara,' by saying 'I don't know Jeff, has there?'

Hilarity ensued in the studio as it became abundantly clear that the reporter had literally no idea what was going on behind him answering "I don't know" to what was going on.

The answer was pretty simple, Anthony Vanden Borre had been sent off and wasn't just going off as a substitute, as Kamara had thought.
