Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn: Tony Bellew makes 'explosive' claim

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn promises to be ‘explosive’ action from start to finish, according to Tony Bellew.

Eubank, 33, is aiming to defend his family honour against ‘The Destroyer’ this Saturday night live on DAZN PPV.

The catchweight bout, which headlines London’s O2 Arena, has been described by Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn as “the biggest fight we’ve ever promoted for many reasons.”

Benn, 26, has been relatively unchallenged in his career so far, boasting a record of 21-0 in professional boxing.

Eubank, however, presents Benn’s biggest challenge yet.

And Bellew believes fans are in for a real treat when Eubank fights Benn this weekend.

Writing in his column for DAZN, Bellew opined: “The biggest British fight of the year arrives on DAZN this Saturday night as Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn reignite one of the biggest feuds in boxing history.

“I’m old enough to remember the legendary battles between Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, and I’ve got every confidence that their sons can deliver an explosive contest this weekend that will sit proudly next to their fathers’ battles.

“From the moment this battle was over the line, it was the fight that stood out most for me and I can’t wait to be inside London’s O2 Arena to watch it all unfold.

“These two brilliant fighters are putting it all on the line, but it’s not for a world title, it’s for family pride, and that’s going to bring out the very best in both of them.
