Chris Eubank Jr reveals stance on fight with Amir Khan vs Kell Brook winner

Chris Eubank Jr has opened the door to a bout with the winner of the grudge match between Amir Khan and Kell Brook - although he's made it clear his preference would be a world title bout against Gennadiy Golovkin.

The 32-year-old extended his record to 32-2 with victory against Liam Williams in Cardiff at the weekend, knocking down his rival three times in the opening four rounds.

That has put Eubank Jr on the path towards a world title shot, with the London fighting setting his sights on a bout with IBF middleweight champion Golovkin.

However, Eubank Jr has also left the door open to facing the winner of Khan 's clash with Brook, which takes place at the Manchester Arena on February 19th.

"That is the No 1 target. He is up there as the fight that I want next. He is the top of the list," he told Sky Sports News about Golovkin.

"But that's the exciting thing about the middleweight division right now, there are so many big names and world championships to fight for. We're gunning for a big name and a big title in the summer."

Asked about facing Khan or Brook, Eubank Jr made it clear the option is on the table: "If the fans want it, then absolutely. We'll have to see what happens in the fight with him and Amir.

"Would a fight with the winner be a possibility? Absolutely. If the fans want it, I'm down 100 per cent."

Khan and Brook are due to clash in front of a sold out Manchester Arena on February 19th, bringing to a head their rivalry which has brewed for over a decade.

Both have floated the prospect of retiring after their upcoming fight, although each of them have since backtracked and talked up a potential resurgence in the boxing scene.
