Chocobo GP Season 1 End Date: When Does it Finish?

Chocobo GP was released on the Nintendo Switch on Thursday 10th March 2022, but when does Season 1 of the game end?

There are a ton of objectives and in-game items that are available to get in the first season of Chocobo GP, with some already being highly sought after by players.

However, the inclusion of Seasons in the game, along the lines of free-to-play titles, has not come without controversy.

Here’s everything you need to know about Season 1 of Chocobo GP and when the Season will actually be ending in-game.

The first season of Chocobo GP began when the game was initially released back on Thursday 10th March 2022.

According to information in-game, Season 1 will be ending on Monday 16th May 2022 at 14:59 JST.

There are also a number of different rewards in Season 1, with players needing to gain levels to ensure that they get all of the potential in-game items.

Players have until then to get both Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 and Squall from Final Fantasy 8.

It’s worth noting at this time that we do not know if both Squall and Cloud will be available to players beyond the actual end date of Season 1.

As noted, there has been some controversy regarding the Seasons element of the game and the Prize Pass that players can purchase beyond the £40 retail price of the game.

One player summed up the situation nicely on Twitter: “The response to #ChocoboGP’s season pass system is interesting – I definitely think season passes and in-game currencies are pretty scummy behaviour, BUT, there’s also very little difference between this game’s pass and just regular DLC.
