Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom unhappy following defeat to Chippa United

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom says that the side are not happy following their 2-1 defeat to Chippa United on Saturday.

Despite Chiefs dominating their opponents in goal-mouth action, they missed multiple clear-cut chances and conceded due to individual errors.

The defeat was the AmaKhosi's fourth this season, consolidating them to fourth in the table, two points behind Mamelodi Sundowns who have two games in hand.

"We are not happy as a team," Blom told reporters.

"We not happy that we lost that game because we had it in our hands as we were leading in the first half. We gave them easy goals and we missed our chances.

"We are unhappy on the final result but we are looking forward to the game on Wednesday."

Blom and his side have a chance to quickly make amends as they will host this season's surprise strugglers TS Galaxy at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday. Despite Galaxy languishing in 11th in the DStv Premiership, Blom is not taking them for granted as he believes there are no more easy games in the league.

"Let's be honest, in the DStv Premiership there is no small team now because every team is trying to win games. We'll go out there and work hard and try to get maximum points."

With Chiefs returning to the FNB stadium this week after using the Moses Mabhida Stadium as an alternative ''home venue" in their last game, the 22-year-old midfielder has promised the AmaKhosi faithful that they will get all three points.

"Coming from the loss, we know that they are not happy and we are also not happy and we promise to give our best on Wednesday and to work hard. We promise to get maximum points on Wednesday," said a confident Blom.

Kick-off at 19:30 on Wednesday.
