Chelsea v Arsenal, City v United: What’s still to play for in the WSL?

There’s still everything to play for in the Women’s Super League as we near the closing stages of the season.

Arsenal sit top of the league at present but Chelsea remain in touching distance as they bid to win a third title in a row.

Just below them, the two Manchester clubs are jostling for the third and final Champions League spot, with Spurs also in with an outside chance of qualifying.

And at the foot of the table, Birmingham seem near certainties for the drop but is there still a slim possibility of survival?

With so much at stake for so many clubs, GiveMeSport Women looks at what’s on the line:

Arsenal have led the way for the majority of the season and remain two points clear of the Blues with five games remaining.

Crucially, however, Chelsea have a game in hand on the Gunners and can leap-frog them into top spot with a victory.

A North London derby against Spurs is arguably their hardest remaining match, while they also have to play three of the bottom four clubs in Leicester, Aston Villa and Everton.

Chelsea, on the other hand, also have to play Tottenham and face the prospect of a huge final day clash
