Chelsea's squad ranked as Graham Potter is named manager, featuring Sterling & Kante
Graham Potter has been announced as Chelsea’s new manager.
The Englishman has signed a five-year deal and has replaced Thomas Tuchel, who lost his job after Chelsea’s Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday evening.
Potter said in a statement on Chelsea’s official website: “I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club. I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s new ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.
“I would also like to place my sincere thanks to Brighton & Hove Albion for allowing me this opportunity and in particular Tony Bloom and all the players, staff and supporters for their continued support during my time at the club.”
Following Potter’s appointment, we’ve ranked Chelsea’s first-team squad into six categories ranging from ‘World-class’ to ‘Time to sell’.

Mateo Kovacic
Raheem Sterling
N’Golo Kante
Thiago Silva
Kovacic has been vital for Chelsea over the past few years. The Croatian has struggled with injury to start the season. The fact the Blues have struggled in his absence shows how important he is.
Sterling has been playing at an elite level for a while and it now Chelsea’s most influential attacker following his summer move.
Kante and Silva are perhaps past their very
