Chelsea's announcement video when they signed Antonio Rudiger was awful
Antonio Rudiger has established himself as one of the best centre-backs in the world at Chelsea.
The German knows it, too, making Chelsea sweat over his future at the club with his contract demands.
The defender has been a serial winner during his time in west London and the £29 million Chelsea paid Roma to sign him in 2017 now looks like a bargain.
He has John Terry’s seal of approval as well.
Chelsea legend Terry recently said the Blues are “lucky” to have him.
“What a player, the passion he shows for our club is what I love to see,” Terry wrote on social media.
“Great defender and an absolute animal. Lucky to have [him] at our club.”
Yet it’s a shame the defender’s Chelsea career had to begin with worst announcement video of all-time.
At a time when football clubs were getting creative with the way they announced new signings, Chelsea went ahead and dropped an absolute disaster.
The video featured a young Chelsea fan asking to get Rudiger’s name on the back of his shirt. Rudiger himself just so happens to be waiting out the back, and the centre-back gives his approval.
The concept is awful and the acting little better. Sorry Antonio, but stick to football.
Which name would you get on the back of your @nikefootball Chelsea home shirt today?
