Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has spoken out about his return to Stamford Bridge in Wednesday night's Champions League clash.
The former Chelsea stopper will return to familiar territory for the clash having spent four years at the club before moving to Spain in 2018. And despite switching allegiances, the Belgium international says he hopes to avoid the boos on his return to west London.
It comes as former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti seems set to miss the tie after testing positive for Covid. And Thiago Silva has spoken about the "moment of sadness" he endured in the minutes before his Chelsea transfer was confirmed.

Thiago Silva has recalled the "moment of sadness" when he found out about his transfer to Chelsea.
The Brazil international joined Chelsea in the summer of 2020 after being released by Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expired. And the defender says he found out about Chelsea's bid for him while on the team bus heading back following Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League final defeat against Bayern Munich.
And despite having just suffered defeat in such a huge game, Silva says the news sparked "a great moment of joy".
