Questions remain over where the money from Chelsea's sale could end up.
The club were put up for sale by Roman Abramovich following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the bids have now been whittled down to just three interested parties. Abramovich has also had sanctions imposed on him by the UK Government which mean Chelsea are unable to process any financial transactions and have to operate under a special licence.
That leaves two probable options of what will happen to the proceeds of the money made from the sale of the club. It comes as two of the interested parties are said to be eying the purchase of another sporting franchise.
And Thomas Tuchel's signing of Romelu Lukaku last summer could serve as a warning for Manchester City as they line up the signing of Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland.
