Chelsea: Kai Havertz teased by Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger for Batman tattoo
Kai Havertz has already left a lasting legacy at Chelsea.
Not only did the German midfielder score the goal that saw the Blues win their second Champions League title, but it was also his penalty that completed their trophy set with FIFA Club World Cup glory.
And while it hasn’t been all plain sailing for the 22-year-old at Stamford Bridge, there’s good reason to think that he might be a superior option to Romelu Lukaku in Thomas Tuchel’s system.
Finding the net against Lille just a few days after Lukaku had produced just seven touches in the win over Crystal Palace saw Havertz become many Chelsea fans’ preferred pick for the Carabao Cup final.
As such, although Havertz hasn’t quite reached the dizzying heights touted for him at Bayer Leverkusen, there’s no denying that Chelsea are better for having the young playmaker in their ranks.
However, Havertz might not be feeling too fond of his Blues teammates right this second because he was on the receiving end of some light teasing this week when it came to a new tattoo.
Yes, that’s right, just because Havertz is getting rave reviews on the pitch right now, that doesn’t mean that his teammates have necessarily been enamoured with what he’s been doing away from it.
As confirmed on Chelsea’s official website, Havertz shared his new tattoo on Instagram earlier in the week, which was positioned just below is shoulder and depicted Batman holding a Champions League football.
However, according to The Sun, the youngster’s Chelsea teammates were not exactly impressed by Havertz’s new ink with some of them commenting on social media posts that have since been deleted.
