Chelsea injury news round-up and update: Andreas Christensen, Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Manchester United on Thursday night as they edge closer to a UEFA Champions League finish via the top four in the Premier League.

The Blues will feel hard done by having to settle for a point in a match they dominated. Marcos Alonso gave the visitors a lead but Cristiano Ronaldo drew his side level instantly. While there were no immediate concerns in terms of players picking up an injury during the game, the Blues still have a number of players out who could return shortly.

With games coming thick and fast and time running out before the end of the season, manager Thomas Tuchel will be hoping for some good news on the injury front as the Blues look to secure a top-three finish and win the FA Cup next month when they take on Liverpool.

Ben Chilwell has not played for Chelsea since November when he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The left back has been a huge miss for the Blues and won't feature for the first-team again this season. But the England international is nearing a return, having been seen working on the training ground in a picture posted by the team's official Instagram with the caption: "Upping those fitness levels! @benchilwell."

Chillwell is expected to step up his recovery when he begins training with the academy, according to Goal.
