Mason Mount hardly needed to do anything more to make himself even more popular among the Chelsea supporters.

It has been a chaotic day for the Blues, who found out this morning that owner Roman Abramovich had been sanctioned by the UK government, causing all sorts of uncertainty at the club.

However, it was all about what happened on the pitch for Thomas Tuchel and his team this evening as they headed to Norwich City in the Premier League.

It was a perfect start for the visitors at Carrow Road after Trevoh Chalobah headed the ball into the back of the net from a Mount corner on the left-hand side.

Mount was in superb form at the start of the game and made that count with a fantastic goal on 14 minutes to double the away side's advantage.

The England international received the ball from Kai Havertz on the left and took a perfect first touch before smashing the ball into the top right corner.

After scoring for the fourth time against the Canaries this season, Mount made a point of kissing the Chelsea badge, expressing his love for the club on a manic day.

Mount has been criticised by some supporters this season for his return in the attacking third, although he now has eight goals to his name.
