Chelsea fan's viral video of decisions against Blues in recent cup finals

It was heartbreak for Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday night as they lost to Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup.

After what was one of the dramatic goalless draws you could ever hope to see, it was the men from Merseyside who would triumph after a marathon penalty shootout.

Kepa Arrizabalaga’s wild penalty proved to be the difference as Thomas Tuchel and his men ultimately had a night to forget under the famous London arch.

However, while the shootout itself was packed with blockbuster moments, the regular 90 minutes also proved to be a pretty helter-skelter affair.

Several goals were disallowed by the VAR with Romelu Lukaku in particular being caught offside by the barest of margins.

Naby Keita might consider himself lucky to have lasted as long as he did as well after his studs up tackle on Trevor Chalobah was waved away by the officials.

In truth, as the dust begins to settle, you can hardly blame Chelsea fans for feeling hard done by after a night on which almost every major decision seemed to go against them.

Now, one particular fan has taken it upon himself to prove that there is a growing trend when it comes to the Blues in cup finals, compiling a video of all the decisions to go against Chelsea in the previous four years.

Starting with Alexis Sanchez’s handball and subsequent ‘offside’ in the 2017 FA Cup final, Twitter user @HazardFlicks paints quite the conclusive picture.

The video then catalogues a number of decisions ranging from marginal offsides, to unfair bookings and bizarre non-bookings.

Of course, we’re by no means endorsing the idea of an officials conspiracy against Chelsea, but the video does go to show
