Chanel to open Manchester shoe boutique and expand current store following Northern Quarter takeover

Chanel is set to open a new shoe boutique and expand its current Manchester store after taking over the Northern Quarter with a multi million pound fashion extravaganza.

The luxury French fashion brought its annual Metiers d'Art show, previously hosted in Paris, New York and Rome, to Thomas Street last night throwing an international spotlight onto the city.

Some 600 VIPs and celebrities watched as models took to the outdoor catwalk in an array of couture ensembles designed by Chanel's creative director Virginie Viard before heading to a huge after-party at the historic Victoria Baths.
