Kilmarnock lost to Aberdeen in the quarter-finals last season as Derek McInnes went down to his old club in a tie remembered for a dramatic post match with Neil Warnock quitting as Dons boss immediately after.
The Dons went on to play Celtic in the semi-final and they ran the Hoops close in a six goal thriller after 120 minutes and Brendan Rodgers' men holding their nerve to win the penalty shoot-out.
And that set up a meeting with their fierce rivals who they edged with Idah netting the only goal at the death.
