Celtic pitted alongside holders Madrid in Champions League group draw
Liverpool have been grouped with Rangers and Celtic will face Real Madrid following the Champions League group stage draw in Istanbul.
The Glasgow clubs face difficult assignments in Europe, with Rangers in Group A with Napoli and Ajax as well as Jurgen Klopp's Reds, while former winners Celtic will face holders Madrid, RB Leipzing and Shakhtar Donetsk.
Tottenham Hotspur will be relatively pleased with their draw, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Sporting Lisbon and Marseilles for company in Group D.
AC Milan defender Fiyako Tomori will come up against his former club Chelsea after the pair were drawn in Group E. Thomas Tuchel's side will also face Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb and will be favourites to progress to the knockout stage.
Erling Haaland will get a speedy reunion with former club Borussia Dortmund after Manchester City were drawn against the German club in the Champions League.
City, last season's beaten semi-finalists, were drawn in Group G alongside Dortmund, Sevilla and FC Copenhagen.
Group C has thrown some heavyweights together, with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Inter Milan looking to avoid early elimination, with Czech side Viktoria Plzen the rank outsiders.
