CBC Sports to broadcast 2024 Canadian Premier League championship final

The final step on the quest to lift the Canadian Premier League's coveted North Star Cup as champion will play out on CBC Sports when the 2024 CPL Final is broadcast live by Canada's public broadcaster on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The location of the championship game will be decided on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. ET when the top two teams from this year's regular season meet in their first match of the playoffs to battle for home field advantage. Forge FC will host that decisive match, as winners of the 2024 regular season, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton; its opponent will be decided on the final day of the 28-game season on Oct. 19.

Coverage of the CPL Final will feature CBC Sports' Andi Petrillo leading an on-site panel alongside analysts Gareth Wheeler and Kristian Jack, who will also report from pitch-side, and former York United FC defender Jordan Wilson. 

Broadcast coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT) on CBC, CBC Gem and cbcsports.ca.

The champion of the 2024 CPL Final will also clinch the League's second berth in the 2025 CONCAFAF Champions Cup, the annual continental club
