Cavin Johnson 'honoured' to be linked to vacant Kaizer Chiefs job

Cavin Johnson says he's delighted to be linked with the vacant post at Kaizer Chiefs.

The 63-year-old former Platinum Stars and AmaZulu head coach was most recently assistant to Pitso Mosimane at Al Ahly.

Johnson has returned to South Africa and is considering his next post and revealed that joining Amakhosi, who recently parted ways with Stuart Baxter, would be an "honour".

He said on Monday Night Football: "...last week I said I won't talk about it, because the man has still got his job and it's coaching ethics.

"But now that it's out in the public, yeah, the people have been talking, I'm honoured. I'm really, really honoured and I think Kaizer Chiefs, yes we can go there, and we can build a team.

"I believe you can build a team, but you have to have the people around you that's prepared to build a team quickly."
