Cash and cocaine found after knifepoint robbery with teenager arrested

Cash, cocaine and mobile phones were found by police following a knifepoint robbery in Bolton on Tuesday evening (November 28).

Officers launched an investigation and raided a property after the robbery on Johnson Fold in Bolton. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and remains in custody to be questioned.

The warrant was executed shortly after the knifepoint attack on Marld Crescent, with a large haul of cocaine, cash and a number of mobile phones seized following a search of the house.

Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton of Bolton’s Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team said: “This is an excellent example of collaborative work in the Bolton district, and thanks to the meticulous work of our teams, we now have a man in custody for an incident which has understandably left a victim shaken.

“As part of our investigation, we have also been able to recover a significant quantity of drugs. This seizure thankfully means we’ve been able to stop these drugs being sold in our communities, and hopefully prevented further harm.

“I’d like to thank the victim for coming forward and reporting this incident to the police. Information from the public plays an incredibly important role in our investigations and I ask that the community keep talking to us and keep sharing their concerns with us so our teams can act.”
