Casemiro has already sent Zinedine Zidane message to Manchester United amid links

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has said Zinedine Zidane's biggest strength as a coach is connecting with his players inside the dressing room.

The Frenchman, who has been without a job since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, has been linked with the possibility of replacing Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford over the last few weeks.

Ten Hag has been granted a stay of execution by the United hierarchy and is set to take charge of Saturday's clash with Brentford at Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, the Dutchman is still under pressure to deliver results and turn United's fortunes around after a run of five games without a victory. United have also failed to score in each of their last three league games.

Following the Football Association's decision to install Thomas Tuchel as the new England boss, elite-level coaches who are currently on the market are now few and far between. Zidane, who has never been in charge of anyone but Madrid, has been linked with taking charge at Old Trafford on various occasions in the past.

Back in 2018, Zidane's agent, Alain Migliaccio, played down the possibility of the Frenchman ever managing a club in England, saying: "I do not think that he will manage in England. It is much less his style. I have discussed it with him, it does not really attract him."

Despite that, rumblings connecting him with United have persisted. In the event of him ever taking charge at Old Trafford, however, defensive-midfield enforcer Casemiro, who played under Zidane at Madrid, has already detailed one of his biggest strengths as a coach.
