Caroline Weir, Kim Little: Who were the standout players from the latest WSL round?

The latest round of Women’s Super League action produced some thrilling games. 

Chelsea faced Arsenal in a match billed as a potential title decider, while City played United in a closely fought derby. 

As ever, there were some notable individual performances across all six WSL games. We’ve selected six standouts that deserve special mention: 

Ashleigh Neville scored her second goal in as many games as Spurs sealed a 2-0 win over Birmingham to move up to third in the WSL table. 

The English full-back is enjoying a fantastic season so far and has been an influential part of a Tottenham side pushing hard for European football. 

Neville has long been a valuable servant for Spurs and won their Player of the Year in the 2017/18 campaign. 

While she’s always been defensively capable, the 28-year-old has become more of an attacking threat this season. 

Though Kim Little has now failed to score in her last 14 games, the Scottish maestro ran the show in midfield against Chelsea at Kingsmeadow. 

Little showcased her remarkable passing range and effortless ability to navigate her way out of tight areas, though her impressive display was not capped with an Arsenal victory as the match finished goalless.  

The upcoming fixture list may prove to be taxing for some players moving forwards but the 31-year-old has retired from international football and can now focus all her attention on bringing home a WSL title for the Gunners.

Caroline Weir loves playing against Man United and she proved this again on Sunday by scoring an outstanding solo goal. 

The Scot scored the inaugural Manchester derby goal back in 2019 and pulled off a sumptuous chip last year –– both of which were nominated for the FIFA Puskas award. 

And yesterday’s winner
