Cardiff City transfer news as new signing bullishly describes playing style, Ikpeazu's name floated and Warnock hits back at Spence dig

The latest Cardiff City headlines for Monday, May 30

New Cardiff City signing Ollie Tanner will have excited supporters by the way in which he described his style of play in a Q&A with the club's website.

When asked to describe how he plays, the 20-year-old said : "I am a direct winger, I use pace and power to beat players, score goals and get assists."

That is exactly what Cardiff have been lacking since the likes of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Josh Murphy have been out of the club.

Gaining a greater insight into Tanner as a person, he described Lionel Messi as his favourite player, the Nou Camp as the stadium he wants to play at most and named his dad as his inspiration growing up.

However, having returned to Boro, it looks as though Chris Wilder wants shot of him as quickly as possible in order to get two new strikers in to complement Duncan Watmore and Josh Coburn. As things stand, Cardiff don't appear to be in the running to bring him back
