Cardiff City transfer news as Bluebirds confident of Sawyers signing and ex-Tottenham and Wolves defender on radar

Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City headlines for Tuesday, July 5.

Cardiff City are confident of making Romaine Sawyers their 10th signing of the summer.

As first reported by WalesOnline earlier this week, City are keen on bringing the 30-year-old to the capital this summer, although Stoke City have also registered an interest.

Sawyers was on loan with the Potters last season, netting three goals and earning four assists in 29 appearances.

There is also still uncertainty over Sean Morrison's future, although he is set to stay with the Bluebirds as he recovers from injury.

Goodliffe was previously on the books at Tottenham Hotspur before being released in 2016, and has also had stints at Boreham Wood, and Dagenham and Redbridge.

He made 53 appearances in all competitions for Sutton last season, netting three goals and earning one assist as Sutton finished just outside the League Two play-offs.
