Cardiff City to complete signings of Stoke City's Alfie Doughty and Norwich City's Jordan Hugill with Ryan Giles chase over

Cardiff City are set to complete the loan signings of Alfie Doughty and Jordan Hugill.

Bluebirds boss Steve Morison was adamant that he would not be waiting around until Monday's deadline to get his final two targets over the line.

It was hoped that Ryan Giles would return, however it is understood that Wolves' heel-dragging prompted Cardiff to turn their attentions elsewhere and move for Doughty.
