Cardiff City headlines as Norwich City man lauds 'brilliant' youngster and winger finally nearing end of nightmare

Cardiff City's Jordan Hugill has heaped praise on his Bluebirds strike partner Isaak Davies with the duo having struck up a terrific partnership.

Hugill and Davies appear to be the ideal front pair, with the former bringing the physicality and a focal point and the latter bringing pace and relentless pressing from the front.

Hugill has scored two goals and provided one assist in his six league outings so far and has impressed the Bluebirds faithful.

The Norwich City man is clearly enjoying his time in the Welsh capital and has spoken about how easy it has been to settle in at the club.

"I'm delighted to be here, and delighted to be a part of what's going on here," Hugill told the club's website.

"That's why I chose to come to Cardiff; it's a brilliant club, and I just wanted to get my head down and start playing football again.

"It's an easy changing room to come into. I've played against a lot of the lads before, so you know of people when you play against them, but it's an easy dressing room to settle into. I think that's shown with everybody who has come in.

"I think Isaak has been brilliant, and I think the manager is rewarding him. We haven't really spoken about too much, we've just been on the pitch together, and it's worked. When you have two different types of strikers who play, you look over the course of history, it has worked, and it's no different here."

Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan believes Cardiff are a different test now to what they were during Steve Morison's first win in charge back at the start of November.
