Cardiff City boss makes delivers positive Huddersfield Town verdict

Huddersfield are beating everyone’s pre-seasons expectations so far this campaign.

The Terriers are currently fourth in the Championship and are only two points adrift of the top two places.

Morison admitted that their rise has been inspirational to the club and it is one they are following closely as they look to hope to emulate their success.

“Do we want to be more like Huddersfield? Yes. Can we be more like them at the minute? No,” said Morison, via Wales Online.

“Things take time.

“You look at where they were a while back and where they are now, it shows if you believe in the process that’s where you can get to.”

When pressed on the matter further to explain what he had meant by this, Morison clarified that it was about the overall structure of the club.

Morison also admitted that their style of play is another aspect of Huddersfield that they would like to emulate, saying that Cardiff are too focused on just getting a result at the moment.

“It’s just everything. They have bought into a process with the manager they brought in.

“I think he was close to getting the sack at one point.

“Do we want to go in and nullify the other team the whole time? Or do we want to go and stamp our authority on a game? Of course we do, but that takes time.

“We haven’t got time to start being really expansive and over the top with what we do and then stand on the side and say, ‘Oh, it doesn’t matter. We were trying it, but we lost.’

“It’s more about getting a result and what suits the players we have got in the building.”

Cardiff find themselves 19th in the table, scrapping with the clubs hovering above the relegation zone.
