Canelo Alvarez hand speed: Mexican throws crazy 20-punch combo in 3 seconds

Canelo Álvarez is considered by most in the boxing world to be the best pound for pound fighter in the sport.

The Mexican has racked up a 57–1–2 record on his way to becoming the first undisputed super middleweight champion.

He became the first undisputed champ in the history of the division by defeating, the then-undefeated and IBF champion Caleb Plant, by TKO in the 11th round.

Álvarez is known for using quick combinations, many of which aren’t traditional, to knock out his opponents.

Ahead of his next bout against WBA light heavyweight champion Dimitry Bivol, the 31-year-old has been fine-tuning his rapid hands.

In a video uploaded on the Little Giant Boxing YouTube channel, Álvarez can be seen throwing a scary combination of punches.

The fight, which takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will see the undefeated Bivol put his title on the line as Álvarez returned to the lightweight division.

Bivol has dominated the lightweight division since capturing the WBA interim title in only his seventh professional fight back in May 2016.

In 2019, the 31-year-old was designated as Super champion and has successfully defended the strap on three occasions.

The bout on May 7 will be the first of a two-fight deal Álvarez has signed with DAZN, a deal which will reportedly net the Mexican £63-million.

“I am very happy with this fight against Dmitry Bivol,” Alvarez said.

“It is another great challenge for me and my career, especially as I go up in weight and face an exceptional light heavyweight champion like Bivol.
