Liendo’s performance comes one day after his set the short-course world record in the men’s 100m butterfly event. He’s also added a second gold medal in the 50m freestyle.

Liendo told Devin Heroux of CBC Sports he couldn’t have imagined setting a world mark in the third and final leg of the World Cup event on home soil.

Kharun earned himself $10,000 US for winning the 200m butterfly in all three stops of the World Cup circuit. Kharun also finished second to Liendo in the 100m butterfly on Thursday.
