Canada edges Czech Republic for 2nd victory at Para hockey worlds
Canada will put its unbeaten record to the test on Wednesday night when it faces the powerhouse United States squad in the World Para Hockey Championship at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
Canada improved to 2-0 in the eight-team tournament on Tuesday by edging Czech Republic 2-1 on goals from captain Tyler McGregor and Adam Dixon, who started the night three points shy of the 250-point milestone in international play.
Goaltender Dominic Larocque made nine saves for Canada.
Radek Zelinka scored a second-period power-play goal for Czech Republic, which slipped to 1-1 in the Group A pool that includes the U.S. (2-0), Canada (2-0) and Korea (0-3).
