Calum Chambers May Have Produced The Most Aesthetically Pleasing Outside Of The Boot Pass You'll Ever See

Danny Ings played the ball to Philippe Coutinho, who was ushered out of the Saints penalty area before passing it to Chambers.

The former Arsenal man took one touch before realising Coutinho had made a run into the box. Nobody could've predicted what happened next.

Chambers whacked the ball with the outside of his right boot and took out the entire Southampton defence to find Coutinho.

He then cut the ball across the box for Douglas Luiz to tap home and double the home side's lead.

Every Villa player wheeled off in celebration but looked to Chambers and thanked him for his part in the goal.

It's the kind of thing you can't imagine coming from a defender.

Fans have reacted to the pass and they're amazed Chambers had it in his locker.

One commented: "That Chambers trivela is the best I've ever seen."

Another said: "Listen to tho 'ohh' around the stadium when Chambers pings it."

A third put: "My man just transformed into Dani Alves."

While someone tweeted: "Chambers pre-assist world class, he's always had elite technique."

The 27-year-old move to Villa on a free transfer in search of first-team football after spending eight years with the Gunners.

Chambers has started three of the last four games and completed all three.

Villa took the lead inside nine minutes through Ollie Watkins, who turned Jack Stephens and fired past Fraser Forster.

Ings scored against his former club just before the hour mark to seal a comfortable win.

Southampton had lost just one game in 10 heading into today's contest and sit ninth in the Premier League.

Victory for Villa sees them move up to 11th and two points behind Ralph Hasenhuttl's men.
